Partington Boys Road Trip – Day 3
Learning Day
Today we were cavemen – went into both Tantanoola & Princess Margaret Rose Caves. The boys were surprised at how much they enjoyed the caves. They especially liked Princess Margaret Rose Caves as it was very deep down and had a lot more interesting features. Rule to remember Stalactites – ” hold on tight (hang down) stalagmites – ” might get to the top one day” (bottom). Helictites go sideways. We did plenty of sightseeing including Blue Lake ( for 3 minutes), Umpherston Sinkhole to feed possums and eventually reached Portland. Great schnitty at Nelson Hotel. Was a really old pub with great atmosphere and a real country feel. Met some great country people and the lads reeled off hundreds of pics on their new cameras.
